School demanding social media password from student
My school is trying to force me to give up social media passwords, but have not yet threatened punishment, but it is inevitable. Is this legal? I never used social media during school hours nor slandered the school nor used the school's WiFi to do it, nor use a school computer.
This is a controversial and evolving area of law. Do such policies violate individuals' right to free speech or privacy? Are posts on social media disruptive to the school environment? Is there an argument to be made for school staff and student leaders to monitor social media sites for the emotional and physical safety of everyone in the environment?
